Man Utd are masters of their own downfall!
Manchester United's Champions League hopes suffer a major blow after a dramatic collapse in Copenhagen
In a match filled with twists and turns, Manchester United's Champions League aspirations were severely damaged following a shocking 4-3 defeat to Copenhagen. Despite holding a comfortable two-goal lead at halftime, the Red Devils imploded in the second half, conceding a late winner to surrender all three points.
The match began brightly for United, with Rasmus Hojlund scoring twice in the opening half-hour to put the visitors in control. However, their fortunes took a turn for the worse when Marcus Rashford was controversially sent off for a high tackle. Copenhagen capitalized on their numerical advantage, pulling two goals back before the break to level the score.
United regained control in the second half, despite their reduced numbers, and were awarded a penalty of their own thanks to a VAR review. Bruno Fernandes converted the spot-kick to restore United's lead. However, the hosts were not to be denied, as Lukas Lerager equalized with seven minutes remaining.
In a dramatic finale, 17-year-old Roony Bardghji scored a stunning goal to snatch victory for Copenhagen, leaving United's Champions League chances hanging by a thread.
